Registration

6th April (Thursday) 5-7 p.m Postás-MATÁV Sport Club (in the central building)
Budapest 14th district, Róna u. 86-100.
7th April (Friday) in spite of what was in the event details, there is no registration on this day
8th April (Saturday) 9-11 a.m. in the Event Centre/Finish area

- Entry fees must be paid at the Registration as per the entries.
- Changes and new entries can be accepted only within the limits of the existing start list.
- Entry fees at registration are (from 6th April): HUF 4.000/person/2days (MW 14-60),
HUF 2.400/person/2days (MW - 10, 12, W60, M65-), HUF 800/person/day Open.
- The cost of changes after the entry closing date: HUF 500/person/2days, at Registration HUF 1.000/person/2days.
- Changes must be submitted on the forms received at the Registration desk.
- The event will be run with the Sport Ident electronic punching system. Participants who do not have their own e-card may hire one at a fee of HUF 200/person/day at the Registration. Free e-card hire for competitors under age 14.
- The MW10C category has been cancelled due to insufficient entries. Competitors in this category have been changed to MW10D.
- Entries for the OPEN category can be made at the Finish area without surcharge.

Accommodation
Any accommodation can only be taken up by showing the voucher received at Registration.
The accommodation fees have to be paid at Registration according to the acknowledgement sent earlier.

Locations of the accommodation:

Student hostel: Koós Károly Kollégium, Budapest, XIV. dist.. Mogyoródi str. 21. (Friday, Saturday)
  Pálóczi Horváth I. SZKI, Örkény, Fo str 5-7. (Saturday only)
  Akác tanya, Újlengyel, Hernádi dulo 18. (Saturday only)

Hard floor – sport hall:
Huszka Hermina Elementary School, Örkény, Bartók Béla str. 53. (Saturday only)

All Saturday accommodation can be occupied from 5pm and has to be vacated by 8am on Sunday.

Travelling to the event

The Finish and Event Centre are in the same place both days: between km markers 15-16 on the main road running between Örkény-Pusztavacs, 400 metres from the road. There will be signs assisting competitors reaching the Event Centre. Parking is at designated places near the Finish. Please obey the instructions of the parking marshals! The South side of the forest road leading to the car park is part of the competition area, please do not enter it!

Base time: Day 1: 12.00 pm Day 2: 10.00 am

To the starts: Day 1: 1000 m, Day 2: 50 m follow blue and white tape!
The start numbers received at Registration have to be worn.

Changing and clothing depository: In the changing tents set up in the Finish area.

Map: 1:15 000 and 1:10 000 scale, 2m contour intervals, 4 colour. Surveyed in 2005-06 according to IOF specification. There is no blue on the map, the magnetic North lines are printed in black. Plastic map bags will be available at the Start.

Size of the maps: 32 x 26 cm (1:15 000) and 27 x 37 cm, 20 x 26 cm, 15 x 26 cm
(1:10 000)
The following classes have 1:15 000 scale maps on both days: M21EAB, M20A, M18B, M35A, M40B, W21E, W20A, W18B , W35A. The rest will have 1:10 000 scale maps.

After finishing the maps will be collected on both days. After 150 min. race time on each day the maps can be claimed by each club.

Warm up and training
The are between the Finish and Day 1 Start has been mapped for training. The map can be obtained at Registration. There are controls placed in this area which can be used for training on both days.

Control descriptions are printed with symbols and code numbers on the maps. Loose description sheets will be provided at the Starts.

Control punching system
The control posts are equipped with electronic control system and the location is marked with small pieces of paper. If the control lamp does not flash please use the punch.

Refreshment points
On courses longer than 10 km refreshment points will be provided. Their location is marked on the map.

Open category
There is entry on the day at the Finish area. Both those who have entered before and on-the-day entries can start 60 minutes after base time until the end of the start period as they wish with 1 minute starting intervals. There will be a punching start by using the SI start box. The Open category will not have a start list, combined results or presentations, but we will publish the results later.

There will be a Children’s race on marked courses: Registration is open until 1 pm on Day 1 and 11 am on Day 2 in the Finish area.

Lost competitors proceeding in a NW direction will reach the main road between Örkény and Pusztavacs from where they can get to the Finish area. Please report to the Finish tent! You can ring the Finish on 06-20-949-43-78.

Result ceremony will start at 1 pm on Day 2.

Other important information
- There are forestry operations in the competition area, take due care!
- Take care of the order and cleanliness of the area; put all your rubbish in the designated containers.
- Use only the toilets provided.
- In order to safeguard the wild game in the forest, no dogs should be taken onto the competition area and please keep them on a lead in the Finish area as well!
- It is forbidden to smoke, make fires or use a naked flame anywhere in the Finish area or in the Parking area.
- Please take care of the accommodation venues and Event Centre. Keep them as clean as you would like to find them.
- There is a buffet serving hot and cold food in the Finish area.
- There will be an exhibition of old maps of the competition area near the Finish.
- On Day 1 the dr. Szentgyörgyi Imre Memorial OL event will be organised as the first round of OL championship of the employees and students of the post and communication industry and schools.
- The Slovak - Hungarian Veteran Competition will be organised again. Based on Day 1 results the best veteran competitors of the two countries will compete on Day 2.
