Postás-Matáv Cup

2 day International Orienteering Event

17th-18th April 2003, Pilisvörösvár

Organisers: Postás-Matáv Orienteering Club, 1149 Budapest, Róna u. 86-100. Hungary

Event format:individual 2-day event, classic distance with combined results. Both days are ranking events.

Terrain: mountainous with good path network, variable contour detail with coniferous and deciduous tree cover.

Map: 1:10,000 and 1:15,000 scale, updated in 2003-2004.

Entries will be accepted on the enclosed form, which can be downloaded from the event web site.  All e-mail entries will be acknowledged within 48 hours.  If no acknowledgement is received, please repeat e-mail.

Entries for 1 day only will be accepted, but overall results and prizes will be based on the combined results of both days.

ENTRY FEES

Fees up to the entry deadline: MW 14-60  2600.- Ft/person/2 days MW -10, 12 1300.- Ft/person/2 days W60, M65  1300.- Ft/person/2 days

Fees after the deadline: MW 14-60 3000.- Ft/person/2 days MW -10, 12 1500.- Ft/person/2 days W60, M65  1500.- Ft/person/2 days

Entries on the day (from 15th April): MW 14-60  4000.- Ft/person/2 days MW -10, 12 2000.- Ft/person/2 days W60, M65 2000.- Ft/person/2 days

Open  600.- Ft/person/day Entries for one day only are 300 Ft extra.

Changes to entries after the deadline: 500.- Ft, at registration 1000.-Ft All fees are payable at registration.

The event will use SPORTident electronic punching.  Those who own their own e-card are asked to include their e-card number when they register. (Only for foreign competitors!)

Hire fees of 200Ft/person/day for e-cards must also be paid at the time of registration.

Accommodation: college hostel from  1200 Ft/person/night gymnasium from 4-500 Ft/person/night

These prices are for information only, they might change.  The college hostel accommodation is in Budapest, the gymnasium accommodation is either in Budapest or in towns near Budapest.  The price of accommodation will be confirmed and must be settled according to this confirmation.

Transport: has not been arranged. The Finish area can be reached by public transport.

Registration: 15th April between 5pm - 7pm at the Postás-MATÁV SE Sports Complex

16th April between 3pm - 8pm at the Postás-MATÁV SE Sports Complex Budapest, XIV. ker. Róna u. 86-100.

17th April between 9am - 11am at the Finish area.

 

Prizes:  The first three in the combined competition results of all categories will receive medals and prizes.
