Location: Keszthely - Sümeg - Tapolca area
Event Centre: Újdörögd military base
Organisers
On behalf of the Hungarian Orienteering Federation: the orienteering sections
of the following clubs: BEAC, KFKI OPTIMISTA, MOM, Postás-MATÁV,
Tapolcai Honvéd and Mountainsport Szentendre.
Format
6 day individual international competition, all days are ranking events; Day
2 is a World Ranking Event in the Elite categories. Final results will be
produced by combining all 6 days’ results. In the Open categories there
is no result ceremony and no overall combined result.
Terrain
Well contoured, Central European terrain, rich in features, between 200m and
450 metres; mostly runnable.

Updated in 2002-2003 According to IOF norms, Scales: 1:10 000 and 1:15 000
5 m contour interval.
Categories
M/W 10 taped, 10C, 12C, 14B,C, 16A,B, 18A,B, 20A, 21E,A,B,C,BR, 35A 40 45
50 55 60 and
F 65, 70, 75, 80, Open Technical Open Beginner. Children’s race on taped
course.
Prizes
Based on the combined results the first three in every category and the winners
of the individual days will receive prizes.
Registration
18th July 2003 between 5pm and 8pm and 19th July between 10am to 9pm at the
Event Centre.
Model event and training
19th July 2003. Maps can be bought at the Event Centre.(link: Event

Base time: 9am every day.

The event will use the SPORTident electronic punching system. Entrants are
requested to supply their own electronic card number. Those requiring hire
will be charged 200Ft/person/day. Entries will only be accepted on the entry
form enclosed which can also be downloaded from the event web site.
All e-mail entries will be acknowledged within 48 hours. In case this does
not happen, please repeat e-mail. Entries will be accepted for 3-3 days, but
prizes will be awarded on the combined results of all 6 days.
