Tisztelt Barátaim, Kedves Sporttársak!
Ha egy sportversenyt évrõl - évre és nagyjából azonos idõszakban rendeznek meg, óhatatlanul felvetõdhet a kérdés, hogy nem válik-e idõvel megszokottá, nem kopik-e hangulata, népszerûsége? A Postás-MATÁV Nemzetközi Tájfutó Kupát - immár 24 éves életútja azt igazolja - a sportág változatlanul rangos és elismert versenyének tartják. Ez a minõsítés sokak összefogásának és lelkesedésének köszönhetõ. Az alkalmanként rajthoz álló mintegy ezer versenyzõ sportszeretete, a szervezõk komoly felkészültsége és az Egyesület fenntartóinak támogatása biztosítják a rendezés színvonalát és az elért jó eredményeket. Ennek szellemében készítettük elõ az idei versenyt is, amelyet Budapesthez közeli, változatos domborzatú terepen jelöltünk ki. Reméljük, hogy a pályák szakmai erõssége is megfelel az elvárásoknak, miután ezt a versenyt a Tájfutó Szövetség az õsszel sorra kerülõ EB egyik felkészülésének is ajánlja. A Kupa programjában ezúttal is indítunk tömegsport versenyeket azok számára, akiknek a tájfutás elsõsorban a természet és a mozgás kínálta ismereteken és élményeken keresztül nyújt örömet. Jó versenyzést, jó eredményeket s kellemes kikapcsolódást kívánok mindannyiuknak.

Dear Friends, Honored Guests!
If a sport event is organized from year to year and additionally it is taking place approximately in the same period of the year, one easily comes to the question whether the event will not become usual, or its atmosphere and popularity will fade? The 24-year long life of the Postás-MATÁV International Orienteering Cup confirms that the OL community has been considering it as an important and appreciated event. This evaluation is the result of the cooperation and enthusiasm of many sport friends. The standard of the organization and the achieved good results are guaranteed by the sport mania of the some one thousand starting OL-fans each year, by the serious experience of the organizers and by the support of the sponsors of our Club. The this year event has been prepared in this spirit and it takes place near to Budapest, on a terrain with diversified relief. We hope that the professional standards of the courses will meet the expectations as the Orienteering Federation recommends this event as a training for the this autumn European Championship. The program of the CUP includes open races for the public too, who is looking for the OL as an opportunity to enjoy experience and adventure offered by the nature and the OL-activity. I wish to all of you good racing, good results and pleasant relaxation.
